- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, school staff, and other professionals.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of academic subjects, adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth and success.
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, technology, and resources to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and provide accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities in the general education setting.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education in the state of New Hampshire.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
