    As a Senior CVOR Surgical Technologist , you will bring your experience and passion for health care to our Surgery department We currently have a f ull-time, opening, working 4/10's, day shift.

    Recruiter will go over scheduled and sign-on bonus eligibility during interview.

    The hospital's physicians are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Participants in the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.

    The Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician with advanced tasks during surgical procedures which include cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, cardiac assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions.

    Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and makes minor adjustments or calls biomedical equipment staff. Participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
    Participates in or leads the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.
    May provide business support to the department including administrative tasks.
    Participates in emergency call rotation. Internal customers are patients, surgeons, and nursing staff.

    Depending on department/facility requirements, may require the ability to travel by ground or air throughout and between facilities and work a flexible work schedule inclusive of 24/7 weekend, Holiday, and on call availability to meet our patient's needs.

    High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.

    Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
    Must stay abreast of new developments in the field.
