Description
The Bridge Tender operates movable bridges over navigable waterways in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

As Bridge Tender, you will act rationally and calmly in abnormal circumstances and notifies local authorities, repair technicians, supervisors, and our client as required to ensure proper and safe bridge operations.

Success Criteria

  • Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Provide safe, courteous openings for marine traffic.
  • Provide a safe passage for vehicle traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians.
  • Follow all safety protocol.
  • Inform supervisor immediately of all incidents, malfunctions, and accidents.
  • Ensure safety of maintenance personnel.

  • The ability to read and comprehend FDOT and U.S. Coast Guard manuals, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • A strong commitment to company service values.
  • Maintain neat accurate logs.
  • Check supply inventory and report deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Call for traffic control and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Compile and review EOM (end of month) materials for supervisor.
  • Build rapport with delivery vendors.
  • Assist other departments as needed.

Pay:
From $12.25 per hour
