Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking an AssociateSoftware Engineer in El Segundo, California, Huntington Beach, California, Annapolis Junction, Maryland, or Fairfax, Virginia.

The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. We are looking for people who like to try new things and aren't afraid of a challenge

You will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Advanced Training & Simulation, Production Analytics, Autonomy, Electro-Optical/Infrared Sensing, Cybersecurity, Disruptive Computing & Networks, and High-Fidelity Digital Twin & Virtualization, and much more.

Our software products help solve Boeing's most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes, Defense Space & Security, and Global Services businesses. Position Responsibilities:

• Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
• Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
• Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
• Supports software project management and software supplier management functions
• Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics
• Performs software research and trade studies
• Troubleshoots software issues
• Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) and ability to complete a CI (Counter Intelligence) polygraph after employment start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
• Experience in software development using languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB
• Experience working in an agile environment using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
• Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc)
• Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: 90,950 – 123,050
