Job Summary:


  • Performs complex and confidential administrative support duties to support the Health Director.
  • Manages the Health Director's calendar; schedules and coordinates meetings and other appointments; prepares and distributes documents such as meeting agendas and related information; informs staff of executive's commitments; makes travel arrangements for the executive's business travel; and organizes meetings and associated logístical support when necessary and takes meeting minutes for departmental activities as necessary, to include meetings that support the department's activities touching the Board of Supervisors' meetings and initiatives.
  • Acts as a liaison between the executive and staff, and may interact with elected and appointed officials, external organizations, and the public.
  • Manages information flow in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provides administrative assistance, such as drafting or editing correspondence, reports, presentations, and may conduct research or special projects as needed.

  • Have or obtain a notary public certificate within 30 days of hire (if/when required for jobrelated duties)
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record when required for jobrelated duties. Pass preemployment criminal, credit, fingerprinting, and DMV background checks.
