    MU TITLE: Educational Program Coordinator III

    LOCATION: 211 Gentry Hall, Columbia, MO

    Health and Human Sciences Extension programs promote optimal well-being of individuals, families, and communities, with special recognition for the needs of vulnerable populations.

    This position will coordinate all aspects of a basic physical activity program (Stay Strong Stay Healthy) to low-income Missourians.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    • Coordinate and teach Stay Strong Stay Healthy (SSSH) campus courses (30%)
    • Provide training and support for Human and Health Sciences Regional Faculty, campus student instructors, and out of state partners (30%)
    • Manage, analyze, and summarize SSSH outcome data for Missouri and partner states (Oklahoma, Kansas, NC, TN, NV, and NY) (15%)
    • Conduct annual program updates (15%)
    • Other duties as assigned (10%)
    Conduct all activities in accordance with the Civil Rights Acts, Title IX, Rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act and local, state and region affirmative action plans. Other duties and responsibilities will be expected to support the mission and purpose of MU Extension.

    As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of MU Extension.

    Administrative Supervision is received from the SSSH Director. No supervision is exercised.

    UNIVERSITY INFORMATION

    Shift

    Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, may be required to fulfill assigned responsibilities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Graduate degree in field related to exercise or health with at least 6 months of experience in exercise programming/teaching.
    • Proficiency in basic statistics, data management, and data analysis.
    • Exercise certifications such as the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Condition preferred.
    • Experience leading older adult exercise programs preferred.
    Anticipated Hiring Range

    Salary Range: $50, $64,860.00 annual

    Grade: GGS-009E
