Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living including showers, toileting, dressing, grooming, oral care, transfers, and ambulation.
- Participates in activity programming including identifying resident preferences for activities and offering handson guidance or assistance.
- Assists in the dining room at mealtime preparing food, serving meals, and cleaning up.
- Performs housekeeping duties such as tidying rooms, emptying trash and maintaining clean bathrooms.
- Launders resident clothing as required.
- Must possess an understanding of emergency call systems and be able to respond to an emergency signal coming from a resident room.
- Must be able to perform basic documentation in the resident's online medical record and maintain confidentiality of all healthrelated information.
- Must be able to assist in the event of an unusual occurrence or emergency evacuation.
- Must complete staterequired inservice training in mandated time frame.
- Ability to listen and communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Complete TB test within 7 days of hire, and health physical screening within 30 days of hire.
- Complete Basic First Aid and/or CPR within 30 days of hire and maintain regular certification.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or bend for long periods of time.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ojai, CA 93023: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
