Job DescriptionBecome an integral part of a diverse team. Currently DIGITALSPEC is seeking an experienced, motivated, career and customer oriented Hyperconverged Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.
Location: Washington, DC (Near Foggy Bottom Metro Station)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related-field or equivalent experience plus 5-10 years of hands-on experience.
Clearance: DOD Top Secret Clearance Required, Will consider well qualified candidate with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Description: The right candidate will provide support for an enterprise datacenter with over 3000 Virtual Machines
• Design, implement and maintain VMWare-based infrastructure and related storage
• troubleshoot and resolve storage level problems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• The applicant must have 5-7 years of demonstrated experience working with VMWare and understand the P2V (physical to virtual) process
• Provide day to day data management and operational support for distributed data systems, including the entire data life cycle of planning; device and component preparation; solution testing; data placement; backup retention, recall, recovery; and deletion
• Focus upon compliance obligations, security, capacity planning, performance, and reporting
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of VMware
• Experience with Hyper-converged systems such as Dell EMC VXRail
• Knowledge of VSAN
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of/experience with Nutanix Corporate
