Position: Senior O-RAN Standardization Researcher (w/m/d) – Internal Title: Senior Architect

DOCOMO Communications Laboratories Europe GmbH (DOCOMO Euro-Labs) was established in November 2000 in Munich, Germany. Our mission is to contribute to the evolution of future mobile systems. Our research focuses on 5G technologies, emerging network technologies, and architecture. As part of our research, we participate in standardization activities and technology investigations, collaborating with European operators, vendors, venture companies, and universities.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Standardization Researcher to join our team. This individual will play a key role in driving the adoption of Open RAN, network virtualization, cloud, and software-based solutions within NTT DOCOMO and the telecom industry as a whole. Together with our team and NTT DOCOMO, you will help enhance and facilitate the development and deployment of cost-effective, reliable, and high-performing mobile networks.

Your responsibilities will include:

Participating in standardization activities within the O-RAN Alliance and other organizations, in collaboration with colleagues at Euro-Labs and NTT DOCOMO

Performing technical back-office work, contributing to standards, and attending standardization meetings (both in-person and via conference calls)
