We are looking for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Northern Indiana. This position could be based in any of our Northern or Northwestern Indiana locations.
Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.

We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal.

Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT's.

  • Manage a team which may include engineers, technicians, and other team personnel
  • Lead and mentor juniorlevel engineers and other team members to aid in their development
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, building new opportunities for business development
  • Serve as a project manager with responsibility for wastewater, drinking water, and storm water projects
  • Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures

Qualifications for this Role:


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 10+ years of experience in this discipline
  • Extensive experience managing and designing wastewater, drinking water, and/or storm water projects
  • Experience with project management and accounting software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
