- Follows established guidelines, contacts group for the purpose of collecting past due insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.
- Researches validity of past due and/or disputed debt.
- Generates demand letters.
- Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review.
- Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of commercial debt collection experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Infusion or specialty experience highly preferred.
- Experience with medical collections both as insurance collections and patient collections.
- Experience with all commercial payors necessary for success.

Credit & Collections Specialist Sr

Location: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual-based work and some onsite in-person training, meetings, or team activities as needed by the department.
Even though this position is virtual based, our ideal candidate will still live within a reasonable proximity to our 3033 W President George Bush Hwy #100a, Plano, TX 75075 office.
Schedule: Latest start time for this position begins at 7:00AM CST. Specific requirements and expectations for shift start times and end times will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
