exciting opportunity for an
Analyst to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members working in Norfolk, Virginia.


As the Analyst, will serve the Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) and its missions, functions and tasks, as well as the experimentation department through facilitation of research, planning, examination and analysis for Fleet-focused experimentation initiatives and events.

Leverage leadership, experience and background to collaborate with Fleet representatives and science and technology development agencies addressing Navy warfighting capabilities and improvements across the range of naval operations and missions.

Ensure the technical requirements for the experiment are identified as early as possible and establish a collaborative working relationship with the government sponsors to plan and design, execute and control, perform data collection and analysis and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.


  • Lead, plan and coordinate the activities of supporting planners and analysts as required based on assigned study or project comprised of a diverse team of military, civilian and contractor personnel.
  • Develop and coordinate Experiment Baseline Assessments (EBA), Control Plans (EXPLAN), Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAP) and Information/Knowledge Management Plans (IM/KM).
  • Work closely with the military and government civilian leads.
  • Support the coordination of all associated Spectrum, Accreditation and Install/Deinstallation requirements with Engineering Team leads needed to support initiative testing during FLEX events, as required.
  • Lead and conduct technical exchange meetings with the experiment participants and update PM Leads and planning documents as required.
  • Serve as the principal analyst for project teams within NWDC.
  • Provide decision makers with a sound, scientific and quantitative or qualitative basis for making decisions on the particular military problem being addressed by experiments.
  • Identify appropriate research approaches regarding a military challenge (i.e., problem statement) and associated hypotheses.
  • Create briefs and reporting structures in support of FLAG/SES level review on experiment results, findings and corresponding recommendations.

  • Active Secret, eligible for a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study, such as Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Management Systems from an accredited university and eight+ years or related work experience.
  • Experience planning military events or exercises.
  • Experience using war games, modeling and simulation and live force experimentation.
  • Experience analyzing data to identify trends, capability gaps and areas of concerns to provide solutions and informed decisions.
  • Experience using superior oral and written communication skills to include a high degree of tact, diplomacy and sound judgment.
  • Operational knowledge/experience with Navy systems and Naval mission areas desired.
  • Knowledge of military test, evaluation and experimentation processes desired.
  • Meet physical requirements to embark Navy ships or submarines.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 15%)
Salary range:

$100K-$120K

  • An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check._
