We are seeking an experienced, driven individual with prior experience improving and developing purchasing and inventory management systems.The purchasing department is a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills coupled with the possession of strong attention to details.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant growth phase of our company.This position offers the ability to be a part of the management team and advise, oversee, and implement organizational improvements.
Developing and implementing procurement strategies and an inventory control system will be a primary goal of this role.Responsibilites:
- Perform all purchasing functions, including, but not limited to issuing purchase orders, pricing verification and updates, and entries into QuickBooks
- Purchase all supplies, raw materials, and parts
- Maintain knowledge of trends, vendors, and prices to ensure availability of materials and timely deliveries
- Manage shipping and receiving functions and personnel
- Negotiate and utilize contracts with vendors to improve costs and delivery times
- Anticipate purchasing needs for all job related needs
- Develop and maintain inventory database
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control
- Identify and resolve issues relating to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization and loss
- Selection and reduction of current suppliers based on factors of quality, reliability, and costeffectiveness
- Maintain purchasing needs of all departments
Skills:
- Experience in procurement of raw materials
- Experience in inventory control management through a database
- Ability to exercise independent decision making
- Proven negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Superior time management skills and ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Working knowledge or previous experience in a rotating equipment repair facility in a supervisory role strongly preferred

Pay:
$75, $100,000.00 per year
