- Provides leadership and guidance to your Maintenance Shift Supervisors and your Resident Team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include frontline supervision of interviewing, hiring, and training potential site team; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees as a part of the leadership team; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
- To manage a team providing first class maintenance support to Our Customer; on operation and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems, and storage and picking systems installed at our Customers location.
- It is expected that the holder of this position will possess proven experience of managing an on-site maintenance team that deal with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations on automated materials handling equipment within a warehouse environment. Reporting to Maintenance Operations Manager, the Site Maintenance Manager will be eager and determined to succeed, though safety conscious in all activities undertaken, with a track record of owning problems and taking them through to successful completion. In addition, the manager may be required to respond to emergency calls.

- Help Provide monthly summary and detailed reports covering commercial and technical activities
- Improve the service level and optimize resource utilisation through adoption of industry best practices
- Manage the provision of quality support and maintenance services of all live information systems.
- Help plan and implement system security policy.
- Through direct reports manage and coordinate the daily activities of all personnel.

- Resolve any resourcing issues beyond the control of the Maintenance Shift Supervisor

- Ensures that the Maintenance Team maintains an excellent level of customer satisfaction whilst providing acceptable level of commercial return
- Help develop and manage maintenance budgets and cost projections
- Help provide management of the supply chain and in particular ensure the cultural alignment of sub-suppliers
- Advise in the management of maintenance interfaces with the Companys nominated supplier(s) and sub-supplier(s)
- Ensure every team member fully understands the commercial implications of any decision they make
- Responsible for Quality, Health and Safety within the maintenance scope
- Monitor and update the MHE risk register
- Continually assess and resolve the supplier's resource requirements
- Production and maintenance of the MHE PPM work schedules
- Assist in the identification and monitoring of the MHE Maintenance Teams interfaces
- Liaise with the Customers Operations Shift Managers & the supplier's First Line Managers to ensure the safe and efficient management of the MHE scope of work
- Assess and report MHE progress and attendance at meetings
- Assist the MHE QA and HSE adviser in verifying adherence to all relevant standards and procedures.
- Approve revised MHE documents, drawings and correspondence prior to issue
- Management of the MHE and the Maintenance Cost Plan
- Monitor progress of associated sub-suppliers
- Ensure the timely supply of MHE maintenance hardware
- Assistance with MHE Quality, Health and Safety within the MHE maintenance scope
- Continuance of the MHE Health and Safety File
- Management and allocation of all spares inventory
- The custodian of the site escalation and grievance procedures related to the MHE maintenance scope
- Participate in work related performance improvement programmes
- Participate in work related training and individual improvement programmes
- Performs other duties as required that are commensurate with the role
- Degree in Business Management, Electrical and or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5-10 years of verifiable progressive experience as Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman, or Industrial Maintenance Engineer that has led to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
- Verifiable experience providing leadership for repairs on various types of machinery systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and or (English/German) preferred but not required
- Semi-Advanced to advanced technical understanding
- Weekends and overtime as required by workload
- Professional office etiquette is required at all times
- Up to 10% travel may be required

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Provide Hand-On leadership to a team of Maintenance Shift Supervisors on a rotating shift-based program. Responsible through direct reports for the development, implementation, and day to day supervision of maintenance programs, processes, people, and documentation associated with efficient and High Performing Automated storage and retrieval systems, and storage and picking systems installed at Our Customers locations and surrounding area. This also includes: Helping build and maintain customer relationships at our customer site/s, understanding and leading our preventive and predictive maintenance programs, leading and following all SOPs, Safety Policies, etc.). Identifying the appropriate time to escalate the issues following the agreed upon escalation procedures. The triggers and the appropriate response level and providing frontline leadership for this process.
