Position:

I/E Technician


Primary Report to:

I/E Area Supervisors, Information System Supervisor, Sr. Automation & Control Engineer


Primary Supervision of:

None


Required Qualification:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Prefer completion of trade school or college degree in instrumentation and/or electrical discipline and 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience.


Responsibilities / Key Activities

  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.
  • Adhere to high housekeeping standards.
  • Address instrument and electrical problems as they occur and implement corrective measures.
  • Troubleshoot, test, calibrate, repair, replace or modify field instrumentation as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment utilizing electrical formulas and theory to implement equipment repair.
  • Conduct tests and calibrations required, and follow nonconformance and corrective action procedures for ISO designated quality critical instruments as assigned.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all I/E equipment utilizing approved procedures.
  • Follow and practice all national, local and plant electrical codes.
  • Update and requisition spare parts as necessary through the I/E Area Supervisors for plant equipment.
  • Interface with Operations and Engineering as required for process equipment assessment.
  • Insure that current documentation being used is a reflection of the wiring and control settings in the field. Report to Area Supervisors any discrepancies found so that correction can be made.
  • Maintain a strong personal commitment to safety and safe work habits
  • Maintain a professional positive attitude. Set an example for others to follow.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Pay:
$ $48.10 per hour
