- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Force Development, ensuring that Initial and Advance Flying Training Instructional programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities to the limited number of military, civilian and contract staff in the 19 AF Strategy, Plans and Programs Division.
- Represents 19 AF Strategy, Plans and Programs Division with HAF, MAJCOMs, HQ AETC, joint, industry, academia, international and interagency partners.
- Conducts and/or leads studies and/or initiatives to improve Flying Training programs and/or influence policy changes for assigned functional areas that typically involve long-range, highly complex, and often sensitive topics.
- Supports and advises organizations and senior level governance structures and working groups to include, but not limited to, AF/A1, Air University (AU), Functional Managers (FM), the Force Development Panels/Developmental Education Boards, Force Development Council, and the Air Force Learning Committee.
