    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Heavy Maintenance Technical Representative is present at the MRO during maintenance, repair, and overhaul of company aircraft and engines for the purpose of accomplishing heavy service requirements. The Technical Representative interfaces with Amerijet's Engine Procurement Program, Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to address all maintenance requirements during a scheduled heavy maintenance visit or engine service event.

    Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

    • Coordinate pre-induction review with Engine Heavy Maintenance Engineers, Powerplant Repairs & Procurement team and the Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) provider of required and additional maintenance tasks
    • Monitor and report on the day-to-day execution of the contract by the MRO provider. Liaise with the MRO provider for all technical requirements of the service
    • Review and provide scrap reports to facilitate shop visit financial forecasting
    • Review invoices for accuracy and dispute discrepancies with the MRO provider
    • Coordinate on-site investigations, quality audits, and insurance claims
    • Oversight and reporting of Customer Owned Property stock at the MRO facility
    • Coordinate pre-receiving prior to engine or component redelivery
    • Oversee all facets of paperwork compliance
    • Oversee the generation of all on routine tasks derived from GVIs, DVIs and all routine tasks that drive non routines
    • Work according to Company regulations and procedures and instructions from the management
    • Work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off. Work overtime on short notice in emergencies or when operationally necessary
    • Read and write legibly to complete forms and/or acknowledge messages, as well as identify company part numbers, invoices, bill of work as required
    • Other duties as assigned

    Performance Standards/Measurements:

    • Becomes familiar with the Company policies, procedures, duties and responsibilities of the position and all subordinate maintenance staff as set forth in this General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and associated flight operations staff as set forth in the General Operations Manual.
    • Regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Needs to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
    • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance.
    • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Amerijet culture, that is, exhibit the Amerijet values.

    • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including Amerijet's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)).
    • Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls.
    • Upholds Amerijet's safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities.
    • Consistently follows Company policies and procedures (including governmental and safety) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures
    • Always exhibits a professional demeanor.
    • Works effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Proactive and timely in problem-solving.
    • Maintains communications with all involved parties.
    • Maintains accurate and concise records/files.

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
    • Must hold a current and valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
    • Must maintain Amerijet qualification and authorization for Airworthiness Release
    • Five (5) years of experience working as an aircraft maintenance technician. Preferably Boeing 767/757/777 qualified with certification and training records.
    • One (1) year of heavy maintenance experience.
    • RB211, CF6 and JT8 knowledge and experience
    • Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets Amerijet's insurance standards
    • Familiarity with accessing online aircraft manuals
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written communication
    • Ability to frequently crawl, bend, kneel, climb, stoop and work in confined spaces
    • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
    • Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles, aircraft and situational awareness
    • Must be able to accomplish computerized transactions in PMI, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, UNIX, Lotus
    • Strong analytical abilities
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Solid team and people skills
    • Ability to guide and attend to the needs of the support team
    • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
    • Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
    • Available for travel 100% of working time
    • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position will not have direct reports but may require providing training for new team members.

    Language Skills:

    The employee must possess good interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively work with others, respond to questions from managers and co-workers.

    Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, frequently required walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Able to bend, twist, squat, and lift. Must be able to work well under pressure and in extreme climatic conditions. This position requires traveling up to 100% out-of-state to support Aircraft Heavy Check requirements, and to MRO Facilities for extended periods of time, including outside the US.

    Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds without mechanical assistance; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Able to access and work in all areas of the aircraft, including confined areas. Able to climb on ladders and platforms and work at heights up to fifty feet from the ground. Exposed to high levels of noise, dust, vibration, and chemical fumes.
