For one of our clients, a renowned insurer based in North Rhine-Westphalia, we are currently looking for a

Head (m/f/d) Underwriting Commercial Property South

As one of two heads nationwide, you will lead a team of decentralized commercial property underwriters with a focus on the southern region of Germany. You will primarily work remotely and closely with your employees, sales partners, and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Management and supervision of the team Underwriting Commercial Property South (professional and disciplinary)
  • Responsibility for the ongoing qualification and development of employees
  • "Chief Underwriting" and escalation underwriting in national and international commercial property business
  • Management of the overall portfolio of industrial property risks in the southern region
  • Support in individual case decisions
  • Contact person and relationship management for major sales partners
  • Active participation in cross-functional projects and strategic topics
  • Market and competition monitoring
  • Development of sales-promoting and cross-selling measures

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in business administration or law, ideally with a focus on insurance or professional qualification as an insurance and finance specialist (IHK) plus further training
  • At least five years
