Preferred Carriers of California is looking for an experienced Logistics and Trucking Dispatcher to work out of our Chino Location


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for relaying work orders, route rescheduling and assisting the driver with any inquiries.
  • Responsible for keeping track of the driver's location and number of hours driven to make sure he leaves and arrives on time for scheduled freight appointments.
  • Dispatched drivers on contracted loads by relaying pickup and delivery information as well as routing.
  • Minimizing empty miles, maximizing revenuegenerating miles.
  • Updating the board throughout the day with equipment and load info.
  • Reporting detention, OOS & V immediately.
  • Staying up to date on freight trends.
  • Knowing backhaul/headhaul markets and the relevant pricing.
  • Completing new customer contracts.
  • Preplanning your assigned drivers.
  • Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Great organizational skills.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Previous experience working as a Logistics or Trucking Dispatcher
- previous experience with logistics and Freight forwarding.
