Description
Member Duties:
- Collaborate with UMB peers to create a student advisory framework.
- Convene first-generation and low-income student advisory groups, with a focus on food insecurity.
- Collaborate with UMB staff to offer identity-based programming/community events. Food Access
- Coordinate UMB Student Pantry activities (such as pop-up events, in-person shopping schedule/management, etc.).
- Collaborate with UMB staff to create food access volunteering pathway for UMB students.
- Assist in the piloting on in-person Pantry shopping.
- Create triage process for wraparound services (includes SNAP assistance). First Generation Peer Mentorship
- Contribute to the creation of a peer mentorship framework.
- Facilitate listening and student advisory sessions to understand student needs.
- Contribute to the development of mentor training materials and build training content for online student leadership training portal.
- Collaborate across campus to recruit mentor and mentee pool.
