Description

Member Duties:

  • Collaborate with UMB peers to create a student advisory framework.
  • Convene first-generation and low-income student advisory groups, with a focus on food insecurity.
  • Collaborate with UMB staff to offer identity-based programming/community events. Food Access
  • Coordinate UMB Student Pantry activities (such as pop-up events, in-person shopping schedule/management, etc.).
  • Collaborate with UMB staff to create food access volunteering pathway for UMB students.
  • Assist in the piloting on in-person Pantry shopping.
  • Create triage process for wraparound services (includes SNAP assistance). First Generation Peer Mentorship
  • Contribute to the creation of a peer mentorship framework.
  • Facilitate listening and student advisory sessions to understand student needs.
  • Contribute to the development of mentor training materials and build training content for online student leadership training portal.
  • Collaborate across campus to recruit mentor and mentee pool.
