The Attendorn Correctional Facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist

The Attendorn Correctional Facility combines two forms of detention at one location. On the one hand, closed detention for adult male prisoners and remand prisoners with 126 places in 2 departments (remand and prison). On the other hand, open detention for adult male prisoners with around 302 places.

The position is permanent and subject to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). The salary is based on pay group 9a TV-L.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Supporting adult prisoners in gaining and promoting their ability to act.
  • The content of occupational therapy should generally be offered in the areas of life (play, leisure, activities of daily living), in basic forms of behavior (posture, movement, handling of objects, social interaction) and in basic functions (sensory and motor functions, perceptive and cognitive functions, emotional functions).
  • The target group of occupational therapy are the mentally disturbed and mentally ill
