Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Governance Manager to join our team. As the Governance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing effective data governance strategies and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


Duties:


  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards
  • Define data governance roles and responsibilities within the organization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives
  • Establish data quality metrics and monitor adherence to standards
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Lead efforts to improve data management practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to teams on data governance best practices
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in data governance

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management)
  • Proven experience in data governance or related roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with Informatica or similar data integration tools
  • Knowledge of big data concepts and technologies
  • Experience in database design and management
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
