Morais Vineyards and Winery is a unique and bustling winery with and emphasis on events.

With a special event capacity of 250, our unique venue offers exotic architecture, great scenery, and memorable experiences as well as a spectacular wine selection.

As a top wedding venue for Northern Virginia, we are frequented by couples from across the region and out of state, seeking that extra ordinary wedding location to "Wow" their guests.

We are located in Bealeton Virginia which is an hour+ from DC and 45 min from Fredericksburg.

Morais Vineyards is seeking a Closing Banquet Manager who is organized, friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic.

This person will be a part of a small team and have the ability to communicate effectively and follow protocol is imperative.

The Closing Banquet Manager plays a key role in the venue's readiness and execution for each event and is responsible for ensuring all weddings and events at the venue run smoothly and successfully until the end.


Description:
Part-time hourly position. Weekend evenings only.


Requirements:
Must be available weekends to coordinate and close up event and event venue. This job requires excellent communication skills. Must be very organized and able to multi-task. Professional appearance, attitude and enthusiasm. Must be able to handle stressful situations gracefully and remain calm under pressure.


Duties

  • Be onsite for the last 56 hours of events
  • Be in consistent contact with the wedding planner/coordinator, and event captain throughout event to ensure all policies and protocols are being followed
  • Be able to clearly respond to and resolve any venue related issues during an event
  • Oversee and supervise closing of event and venue and ensure closing procedures and policies are being followed.
  • Assisting with venues electrical & water/plumbing needs during events
  • Maintaining cleanliness & stocking of bathroom facilities
  • Assist in managing any unruly or intoxicated guests (alongside bar manager & catering captain)
  • Coordination of loadout & locking up of venue at the very end of event
  • Maintain inventory of venue provided equipment/furniture for events
  • Ensure the highest quality of customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. (This is NOT and event planner position) We require our clients to hire an event planner.
