DESCRIPTION:

Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established MRI protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Administers contrast media per protocol. Educates patient, collects patient history, communicates patient information to the Radiologist, and prepares patient for procedure. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality. Troubleshoots and resolves MRI-related PACS issues.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Graduate of a school of radiologic technology or MRI Technology program.
  • Registered Technologist for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) issued by ARRT or ARMRIT.
  • Venipuncture certification within six (6) months of hire date.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

Less than 3 years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (MRI Tech) OR more than 3 years of experience (Sr. MRI Tech).

  • Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
  • Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Six (6) months of recent relevant experience.
  • Previous hospital experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include weekends, holidays, oncall and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$117,826 - $146,431 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $70.13

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
