Aventura Construction Corp., a leader in the _Commercial & Environmental Construction Service _Industry and specializing in public works opportunities, is looking for an intuitive
Construction Superintendent with a strong background in Public Work experience to join our team on a full-time basis. Current project we are looking to staff is in the Westchester, New York area.


Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise projects and crews, keeping timesheets and sign in records for crew and visitors
• Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors, subcontractors, and onsite client personnel
• Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel
• Track and communicate progress of project by producing daily reports, schedules, inspections, RFIs, providing progress updates, and participating in internal and client meetings.
• Develop and manage job schedules (e.g. twoweek lookaheads, etc.); coordinate work scheduling with workers, contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately
• Perform daily inspections of work performed
• Implement management techniques that are costeffective and efficient

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Public Works, minimum of 57 years of experience; strong background in Public Work preferred
• Must have experience working with trade unions on PLA projects
• Expert knowledge of all aspects of project including civil, structural, and MEP
• OSHA 30 and SST required
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, complex problem solving
• Working knowledge of computers with use of Excel, Word, MS Project and ProCore (preferred)
• Ability to work on project sites (must wear PPE)
• Must have valid Driver's License and ability to drive on the job as needed for job site visits and meetings
• Working conditions require the employee to constantly stand, walk, sit throughout the work day; project sites may range from lowlevel to highlevel noise, occasional lifting (5 to 50 pounds)
