Job Summary:
Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining general ledger. A successful Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports. Accountant duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks.


Essential Functions:

  • Preparing ledger entries with earnings and deductions.
  • Performing reconciliation of accounts.
  • Audit GL accounts for inconsistencies.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance of company business structure.
  • Ensure the accuracy and the timeliness of companywide allocations.
  • Prepare all journal entries necessary and have them approved by Financial Accounting.
  • Track GL accounts for new programs, ensuring GL structure is setup accurately in Payroll and Timekeeping system.
  • Serve as the liaison between DTO, Payroll and Finance Department.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist with tax audits and benefits.
  • All duties are performed independently and require selfmotivation and a professional attitude in the work environment.

Other Functions:
Support the Payroll Department and programs with the processing of the payroll.


Qualifications and Requirements:

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in Payroll Tax and knowledge in tax relateddeadlines.
  • Experience handling basic payroll operations.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and database management.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problemsolving skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Accounting skills.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation, reach with hands and arms and utilize other equipment.

Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up

to 30 pounds, and frequent walking, standing, and climbing of stairs or ladders in all weather conditions.


Work Environment:
General office environment with moderate noise.

This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but will also involve walking, standing, or climbing for brief periods of time.

A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time as well as outdoor monitoring of

facilities in all types of weather. Appropriate attire for indoor and outdoor duties required.
