Maintenance Electrician - 3rd Shift We are looking for:

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a role based in Harvey, IL, approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician will be in charge of installing, maintaining, and repairing all plant electronic equipment.

What you'll be doing:

Aligning, adjusting, and calibrating electronic equipment.
Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts.
Replacing or repairing defective parts, reassembling devices, and testing for proper performance.
Installing electrical circuits based on blueprints & schematic diagrams.
Inspecting circuits and wiring for specified shielding & grounding, and repairing or rewiring systems according to building codes and safety regulations.
Laying out and installing conduit runs.
Repairing mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic components of electrical equipment.
Using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Performing construction and rigging activities as needed.
Building and repairing induction boxes and determining the number of turns for different sizes.
Building high frequency coils for mill welding systems as required.
Monitoring and regulating temperatures of zinc pots and inductions.

What you need to bring:

Experience as a maintenance electrician in industrial manufacturing.
Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to successfully complete the post-offer employment process including a drug screening.

Within 3 months, you'll:

Make progress and/or complete job-specific training.
Have a good understanding of Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role in daily operations.
Gain a basic understanding of your required duties and job expectations.
