Description

Manufacturing Company in the Newport area is hiring a
Quality Assurance Inspector / CMM Programmer 2nd SHIFT.

$ per hour based on experience.

This team-oriented role partners with quality members, programming, manufacturing, and engineering to solve unique and challenging problems.

Essential Job Functions:

Basic In-Process Inspection
Create CMM programs for new components & update previous programs.
Proficient in full opensetup inspection of parts.
Perform roaming inspections of finished machined parts throughout the shop.
Perform first article/PPAP inspections with associated documentation.
Perform gage setup, calibration, and R&R studies.
Identify nonconforming parts for managerial review.
Partner with machinists to find the cause of faulty parts.
Develop work instructions & directly train machinists and quality technicians on best practices.
Operates CMM
Ability to diagnose non correlation of CMM & Manufacturing Results
Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
Have the ability to utilize a multitude of different inspection equipment and technologies.
Have GD&T knowledge with ability to use various inspection equipment.
Give recommendations based on their experience & knowledge.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 3 years in a Quality Systems role.
Minimum 1 year programming Calypso CMM software.
