- Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware
- Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
- Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware)
- Provides software and system troubleshooting and support
- Provides technical support and training to end-users
- Administers Network Security
- Backs up file server data
- Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
- Education: AA/AS in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training
- Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support; Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software; Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
- Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance required
- Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills; problem solver

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $ $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
