    JobSummary:
    The Addiction Medicine Fellowship Director is responsible for the developmentand oversight of a new addiction medicine fellowship program within theuniversity's academic setting. This individual will work closely with theprogram faculty and staff to ensure that the program provides high-qualitytraining and education in addiction medicine.


    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensiveaddiction medicine fellowship program
    • Complete ACGME accreditation processfor the new fellowship program with the goal of obtaining accreditation
    Ensurethat the addiction medicine fellowship program is consistent with accreditationstandards and regulatory requirements
    Workwith program faculty and staff to ensure that the program provides ahigh-quality educational experience for fellows


    • Collaborate with local addictionmedicine providers to provide fellows with hands-on training and experience inaddiction medicine
    • Oversee the development and deliveryof addiction medicine-related lectures and educational materials for fellowsand family medicine residents
    Provide clinical services and carein the inpatient and outpatient settings.


    • Collaborate with other colleges, departmentsand programs within the university to promote interdisciplinary training andeducation in addiction medicine

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • MD/DO or itsforeign equivalent from an ACGME-accredited medical college
    • Board certification or boardeligibility in family medicine or related field, and Board certification/board eligibility in Addiction Medicine
    • Unrestricted Illinois license topractice medicine in Illinois or Illinois license-eligible
    • Strong organizational and leadershipskills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate withfellows, faculty, staff, and community partners
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, andinclusion and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diversebackgrounds and perspectives.
    • Knowledge of addiction medicinefellowship programs, including accreditation standards and regulatoryrequirements

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Experience in addiction medicine, including experience in an academic setting or fellowship program.
