- Draft and prepare provisional and non-provisional patent applications and other related patent prosecution documents
- Review, analyze, and draft responses to office actions
- Draft reporting letters summarizing the specific action received from the applicable patent office
- Review and draft licensing agreements and other IP related contractual documents
- Provide advice and assistance on all matters relating to invention management and patent applications
- Conduct legal, technical, and scientific research and gather evidence
- Ensure compliance with USPTO rules and regulations for U.S. prosecution matters
- Correspond with clients and foreign associates
- Billable expectation: 1750 hours
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited school
- License to practice before the USPTO
- 2-5 years of experience in patent prosecution
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in: mechanical, civil, aerospace or metallurgical engineering

OUR CLIENT
Our client is a leading intellectual property firm in Denver and has recently been named to the Best Law Firms of 2024. The firm offers a full range of intellectual property services to in-house counsel at Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, start-up companies, and individual inventors throughout the world and across a spectrum of technologies. They are seeking a patent prosecution associate to join their team. This opportunity can be hybrid from the firm's Denver office or fully remote from most states in the US. Candidates should be barred in the state in which they reside.

COMPENSATION
A good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role is $140,000 - $160,000/year depending on experience. The position is full-time and fully benefitted.
