The Sozialkontor supports people with disabilities and people with mental illness in leading self-determined lives. This includes assistance in everyday life as well as participation in social life, meeting points in the neighborhood, residential options, care, therapy, after-school care, and educational opportunities.

Located in the beautiful Hamburg-Bergstedt district, on the green outskirts of the city in the northeast of Hamburg, is our Senator-Neumann-Haus on a spacious garden property. Here, people with acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, and neurological disorders receive comprehensive services for integration assistance, care, and therapy. In addition to a reception area and an attached therapy center, a house cafeteria, and our Willi-Becker-Saal for regular events, the residential complex consists of 3 houses with 3 to 4 living groups each. In the respective living groups, approximately 12 people with different illnesses live; mostly in single or double rooms, but also in one of our 8 apartments with a kitchenette and bathroom.

Your Responsibilities

  • Basic and treatment care
  • Individual care, counseling, and motivation
  • Collaboration with integration assistance and therapy
