    Who Our Client Is:

    Our client is a privately held developer of fluid system products, assemblies, and services for the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, semiconductor, and transportation industries. Their associates are singularly focused on how they can improve their customers' experience - through new products and alloys, system design and training, or services to manage inventory and overhead.

    What Our Client Needs:

    Our client is looking for a Field Engineer. The Field Engineer (FE) provides an extension of our client's engineering services to Allentown site and our end users in markets and applications that are strategic and critical to the company. The Field Engineer's primary focus is to provide application knowledge and technical support to targeted product and service initiatives, market segments, and key customers. In addition, the Field Engineer will develop and provide fluid handling solutions for specific customer needs and specifications through project support and on-site troubleshooting as part of evaluation and advisory services. The Field Engineer will become a thought leader in semiconductor gas and chemical applications and a resource globally to the company. Lastly, the Field Engineer provides technical support and training to Allentown site, and its end users to facilitate growth of sales and targeted product initiatives.

    What You'll Do:
    • Drive sales of targeted products and services within the service area
    • Act as the technical representative in support of existing installations and product returns
    • Perform evaluations of customer fluid systems to identify areas of improvement, drive plant efficiencies, and offer possible solutions via formal reports
    • Be an active part of the company's global field engineering program
    • Select and recommend products into specific customer applications
    • Provide Allentown site training and technical support on products and applications
    • Develop plans and implement activities to support the Allentown site business plans
    • Collaborate with other field engineers on technical applications and solutions
    • Identify the changing application needs for new products and existing products while providing feedback to the appropriate factory personnel on improvements to products or services
    • Assist Director of Services in technical product selection, drawing & quote process
    • Assist in trouble shooting of custom solutions systems where needed
    What You'll Need:
    • BSME, BSChE, BSEE or equivalent in science-related field
    • 3 + years of industry experience in engineering processes is preferred in one or more focused market application segments (i.e., fluid controls, semi-conductor, analytical instrumentation, alternative fuels, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience training, both internal and external customers, is preferred
    • Able to understand customer applications and develop/provide fluid handling solutions to specific customer needs and specifications through application engineering effort
    • Skilled in interpreting and understanding customer applications
    • Interpret customer specifications, P&ID's, and fluid schematics. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
    • Ability to solve complex problems and complete multiple projects using problem-solving methods to make sound engineering decisions.
    • Experience using SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software a plus
    • Proficiency with MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Able to identify and assess new opportunities
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
