    Description

    Position Summary:
    The postion will begin with support for the Cancer Registry daily activity of follow up, casefinding and data entry.

    With experience the postion will involve abstracting malignancy charts into the data base under the direction of the supervisor of the Cancer Registry.

    This position requires a commitment to sit for the Oncology Data Specialist exam formerly known as the Certifed Cancer Registrar Credentials.

    The position will also include assistance with the multidisciplinary conferences and the research projects.


    Position Qualification:


    The position requires experience in the allied health sciences and/or classes in anatomy & physiology, medical terminology and other medical related courses.

    Experience with excel and medical data entry and electronic medical records perferred. Experience in oncology not required, but would be an assesst.
