    Job Summary

    As Warehouse Manager, you will lead our Warehouse Team (Warehouse Lead, Warehouse Coordinator, Mechanic, Warehouse Driver) by providing strategic support to our field operations team, which consists of over 150 team members.

    Our Warehouse facility is customized to deliver quality logistical operations backed with an experienced, and dedicated, team.

    Painters USA provides solutions to complex problems to our customers across the country, and the Warehouse Manager role is key to understanding the unique needs of our customers and production teams.

    Through the use of Lean Management principles, well defined equipment & vehicle maintenance programs, as well as outstanding communication across departments, the Warehouse Manager will be accountable to controlling maintenance expenditures, annual capital equipment budgeting, team development, and internal customer satisfaction.


    Core Duties Include:

    Equipment Logistics :
    Oversee all project equipment transactions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Look for trends and initiate and monitor process improvements

    Equipment & Product
    Inventory Management :

    Manages equipment inventory levels to ensure company has correct assortment to match business demands

    Equipment Maintenance Program :
    Responsible for equipment maintenance program for assigned division location and for updating relative company processes. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specs, analyze cost trends and budgets, and schedule training for warehouse team
    Materials Inventory & Handling Process : Collaborate with Safety Department to ensure all handling standards are correct and implemented, audit team handling procedures, review incidents, find root cause and have a solutions-focus for improvement, oversee local government and fire department inspections and compliance

    Vehicle Fleet Management :
    Collaborate with field operations on scheduling, hold team accountable for inspections, support Fleet Manager with repair logistics

    Facilities Maintenance :
    Oversee all ongoing maintenance of the dock areas, mechanical repair area, equipment warehouse, and storage areas. Support any office area requests as needed.

    Team Leadership & Internal Customer Support : Provide strong, values-based leadership, management and accountability to warehouse team for overall performance and outcomes, design and work each team member on an annual individual development plan.

    Promote teamwork between warehouse and field operations teams, seeing the field team as internal customers with a focus on achieving their high satisfaction with warehouse services.

    Collaborate with Field Supervisors to share best practices and improve processes.

    Technology :
    Serve as subject matter expert for Asset Management Software platform, recommend improvements and innovations, manage asset on-and-offboarding transactions.
    Basic Qualification

    Valid drivers license with reliable transportation

    Education :
    A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferred. However, equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

    Experience :
    At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.

    Leadership :
    Demonstrated leadership abilities to effectively manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and supervision.

    Inventory Management :
    High proficiency in inventory management systems and software. Experience in inventory control, including tracking, ordering, and maintaining inventory levels to meet project requirements.


    Preferred:
    Knowledge of proper handling and storage of industrial painting equipment and materials.

    Safety & Compliance :
    Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to warehouse operations. Minimum OSHA 10 certified, ideal (can be obtained in first 90 days), OSHA 30 certified preferred.

    Preferred Certifications :
    Certified Warehouse Logistics Professional (CWLP), Six Sigma, Lean Certifications, Forklift Operator
    Desired Qualifications

    Problem-solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or logistical challenges.

    Organizational Skills :
    Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Technical Skills :
    Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant tools. Strong familiarity with industrial equipment and vehicles, including their maintenance requirements. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment operation.

    Interpersonal Skills :
    Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, such as operations, maintenance, and procurement.
    Performance Responsibilities

    Manages equipment repairs and maintenance in accordance with department budget
    Maintains well organized and clean working space that satisfies management and safety leadership audits
    Ensures that equipment preparation transactions occur with a 95%+ success rate
    Maintains vehicle fleet adequate to meet peak season demands.
    Safety Requirements

    Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with standards, rules and regulations issued under the OSHA and Painters USA safety programs

    Lead in establishing or updating operating procedures and communicate them to ensure employee understanding and compliance
    Accountable for preventing workplace incidents, injuries and illnesses.
    Assign and communicate responsibility to all personnel levels and hold employees accountable to meet their responsibilities.
    Listen to, and consider, all employee suggestions for achieving a safer, healthier workplace.
    Remain informed about workplace safety and health hazards, and regularly review the company safety and health programs.
    Physical Requirements

    Ability to Lift and Carry:
    Heavy items, equipment, or materials, occasionally weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

    Driving:
    Operate required machinery or equipment, including but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, vehicles, trailers, et.

    Physical:
    Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Stamina is essential to handle the physical demands of the job throughout the day.
