Role Description
Revolution Field Strategies is seeking voter registration canvassers to participate in the organization's high traffic campaign operation. As a canvasser, you will visit high traffic areas as well as community events and register people to vote. You will be required to obtain a specific number of voter registrations per shift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • There is no formal education requirement for this position
  • Must have the physical stamina to stand/walk for long periods (up to 6 hours per day) while meeting and talking to people
  • Comfortable with, knowledgeable of, and enthusiastic about discussing topics related to progressive politics, advocacy, and public policy
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
  • Ability to memorize and recite scripts and statements prepared and provided by RFS
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly conversation goals
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and independently based on employer requirements
  • Good time management skills to fulfill goals within a specific period
  • Ability to travel consistently during the contract period

PREFERRED:


  • Previous experience with data entry and reporting functions
  • Previous paid or volunteer canvass or fundraising experience (including doortodoor sales work, Census outreach work, etc.)
  • Telemarketing or retail marketing experience
  • Social service or organizing experience

COMPENSATION:

This is an hourly position with Revolution Field Strategies, with an hourly rate of $22.
