Responsibilities:
Arcfield is looking for a Technical Lead SME who:Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Often heads one or more sections or a small department.
Plans, conducts, and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects.
Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility.

Functions as a technical expert who provides management, leadership in the design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a technical environment.

Responsible for the technical integrity of projects while providing technical guidance to clients and department staff at the brand, program, and project levels.

Functions as day-to-day lead on assigned projects and works with technical leadership to perform evaluations and feasibility reviews of creative concepts and technology solutions.

Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project lifecycle as it relates to technical decisionsDetermine and provide a necessary level of technical documentation during requirements gathering, based on technical services group standards and procedures and discussions with project staff, industry experience, and technical vendors.

Provide technical consultancy to department staff and participate in business development efforts

Qualifications:

Required Skills:Will have a minimum of 20 years of Research and Development (R&D) experience in the areas of computer engineering, and systems and network design.

Will be expected to participate in the development of a new capability, to include hands-on development for the Naval Research Laboratory.

Will have experience in the following:
C++, Python, JAVA, VRML, and JavaScript.
Must Possess and be able to maintain a TS clearanceMust have minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 10-12 years of experience or MS 8-10, PhD 5-7

Desired Skills:
Have Principal Investigator experience with CDS (cross domain solution)

SW experience to include:
Openscene Graph, Open GL, LinuxWorking knowledge of: NRL PUMP III
