- Interface with project leadership and other project disciplines to ensure automation requirements and scope are understood
- Responsible for the generation of detailed automation design documents and test plans to ensure alignment with agreed technical approach and compliance with functional specifications
- Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors, and internal personnel
- Perform overall project lead role for smaller scope projects
- Support commercial team by providing inputs to technical quotations
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related STEM Major and 5+ years of process automation experience in a regulated industry
- Comprehensive understanding of and strong hands-on experience with application development and system/hardware integration using Rockwell, AVEVA/Wonderware, or Emerson PLC/DCS systems
- Knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, OPC, and EtherNet/IP
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple different workstreams
- Experience with stage gate engineering design processes
- Experience applying GAMP-5 and Software Development Lifecycle Management
- Knowledge of governing regulations, specifically 21 CFR part 11 and Eudralex Volume 4 Annex 11
- Experience creating displays and basic administration of Aveva PI Vision

What you'll do
As a member of a multidisciplinary project team and working from Cytiva FigurateTM automation platform products, the Senior Automation Engineer will provide technical leadership in the design, development, programming, verification, and delivery of process automation systems for biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
