Description
BEI Construction is seeking an On-site Safety Coordinator for our solar division.

This position will report to the Safety Manager and will assist in overseeing safety efforts for a short-term project located in Mojave, California.

The role of On-site Safety Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of safety guidelines and OSHA regulations on the project.

The expected duration of this position and project is 6 months beginning in May 2024.


Responsibilities:


  • Implement and ensure compliance of company safety policies, protocols, and plans
  • Investigate accidents, implement post injury responses and followup, and adhere to procedures that promote safe working environments
  • Conduct safety audits on employees, equipment, and site materials
  • Identify and minimize unsafe working conditions
  • Educate employees on risk, hazard, and injury prevention
  • Provide onsite guidance and assistance to personnel at areas with critical health and safety concerns
  • Review accident occurrences and make educated recommendations for preventative corrections
  • Promote company goals and health/safety objectives
  • Identify and adhere to new health and safety regulations
  • Act as company representative in dealing with government agencies on health and safety matters
  • Evaluate hazardous conditions and assist in development of control practices/programs
  • Analyze incident reports to evaluate injury cases based on reported facts
  • Coordinate and/or conduct safety training for internal employees and external personnel
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Direct industrial safety and hygiene services
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Safety professional in the construction industry
  • Ability to drive for occasional project errands; valid driver license required
  • Extensive familiarity with OSHA compliance
  • Excellent communication, organization, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills
