JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- MUST have Comprehensive knowledge of 49CFR, IATA, IMDG and other regulations as applicable.
- MUST pass the required training course for Air, Land and Sea. Company will pay for these and all refresher courses
- Ability to pack and complete required paperwork independently
- Coordinate the packing process on shipments received, based off the legal packing requirements.
- Take measurement of freight to be packed, and verifying quantities and part numbers.
- Monitor the receiving status of shipments received to ensure turnaround times are met accordingly
- Coordinate the delivery of shipments to the freight forwarder once packing is complete.
- Keep close communication with customers.
- Assist with invoicing shipments processed on a daily basis, and making sure files are in order and have proper documentation for billing.
- Provide excellent customer service in order to maintain and increase customer relations.
- Participate in meetings with clients and customers as needed.
- Take measurement of freight to be packed, and verifying quantities and part numbers.
- Load Dangerous goods into crate/carton while blocking and bracing the freight properly to ensure stability.
- Maintain and take care of company equipment and property.
- Demonstrate safe lifting techniques and adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Participate in cleanup activities and ensure good housekeeping skills.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high noise level. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. Continuous exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
