Looking to make a difference as a pediatric physical, occupational or speech language therapist? UCP of Central Florida provides pediatric therapy at two settings charter schools and medical/out-patient.

Charter Schools are a network of 8 PreK-12th grade schools for students with and without disabilities in Central Florida. Therapy is provided as part of a multi-discipline team.

Job Summary:

The Therapy Assistant will assist Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists with providing school-based therapy. The Therapy Assistant will work directly with students while they receive their school-based therapy.

Responsibilities:

Works closely with and takes direction from schoolbased therapists.
Assists in facilitating schoolbased therapy sessions.
Assists with the production and preparation of therapy materials.
Assists with supervision of students before, after, and during therapy sessions.
Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques before, after, and during therapy sessions.
Maintain positive staff and parent interactions and communication.
Attend required trainings, meetings and events.
Ensure administration is informed of all parent and individual student concerns and complaints.
Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
