    Description

    Our Client, Sierra Nevada, is currently in search of an Electrical Engineer for a 14 month contract onsite in Englewood, CO.

    Pay Rate: $70-$75hr on W2 (paid every Friday)

    Setting: Onsite

    Location:12500 E. Belford Avenue, Englewood, Co, 80112

    Duration: 14 Month Contract

    Duties:

    Electrical engineers at Sierra Nevada Corporation research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems. Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs. Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rarely exposed to loud noises.

    Skills:Must-haves:

    • Expereince Installing and calibrate strain gauges on various aircraft structures and components
    • Expereince Installing and configure flight test instrumentation hardware and transducers
    • Programming expereince of instrumentation systems using Das Studio on Curtiss Wright hardware
    • Understanding of flight test requirements and FAA compliance
    • Expereicnce troubleshooting and resolving issues with instrumentation systems during flight tests
    • Experience maintaining documentation for instrumentation systems

    Requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of strain gauge installation and calibration
    • Experience with flight test instrumentation hardware installation and configuration
    • Proficient in programming instrumentation systems using Das Studio software
    • Knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements for flight test instrumentation
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Education:

    Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
