Role Summary

Role Responsibilities**- This position will have oversight of these core user experience areas:

Traditional Infotainment Domains
Automotive optimized versions of cloud entertainment services (such as Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, and Netflix), Communications (such as phone, messaging, contacts, video calling), and Productivity (such as calendar, tasks, zoom integration, etc...).
Human Machine Interaction Design
Core vehicle behaviors (like one pedal driving, charging UX logic and metaphors), base components to build custom instrument clusters (such as navigation/media player/3D ADAS/ speedometer/PRND), and templates for optional features like presentable door handles and accessory power.
Navigation/ADAS/Self Driving
Fully integrated spatial awareness, routing and selfdriving user experiences.

Feature development

Design discussions for new features and ensure software release cycles are implemented with a userfriendly approach.

Years of Experience

15+ years of experience in Automotive Software UI/UX
10+ years leadership experience

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Research or related field

Desired Education

Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Research or related field

Skills:

Ability to work with and lead multiple, crossfunctional teams
Effectively work across multiple business units and matrixed environments in influencing and establishing vision, strategy, policies and coordinating the delivery of multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT organization.

Required Skills:

Deep understanding of User Experience & UI-Compliance Processes for Automotive, including Driver Distraction & Accessibility
Experience with a broad range of Human Factors Research and UI/UX Design Principles, Methods, and Tools
Provide leadership in human interaction centric case studies to support continuous improvement for existing products
Industry knowledge in feature development and softwarefocused upgrade best practices

Desired Skills

Experience with globalscale multibrand product design & development.
Direct global teams in prototype development for next generation designs for vehicle software and hardware.

Work Flexibility

Travel to worldwide locations required

Compensation
Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. In the city of Mountain View, California, the salary range for this position is $236,900 - $389,300.
