Primary Function:

Under the direction of the Pastor and Principal, the marketing and development coordinator plays a key role in promoting the mission and vision of St.

Elizabeth Ann Seton School and is responsible for implementing comprehensive marketing strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and managing fundraising campaigns to support the school's growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:


  • Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the Diocese by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The employee may not espouse, in word or deed, any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Give evidence of living Gospel values by being an active member of a faith community and being open to the importance of a personal faith journey; strive to model the teaching of Jesus by attitude and example.

Marketing Strategy and Brand Management:

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to enhance the visibility and reputation of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School within the community.
  • Manage the school's brand identity across various platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual representation.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, digital content, and social media posts, to engage current and prospective families.

Public Relations and Community Engagement:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, and stakeholders to increase awareness of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School and its programs.
  • Coordinate diocesan news articles and promotional events to highlight school achievements, events, and initiatives.
  • Support admissions director in planning for open houses and information sessions to attract prospective students and families.
  • Manage and update the school's website, ensuring content is up to date, accurate, and relevant.

Annual Giving Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, and events to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Monitor campaign progress, analyze results, and make recommendations for improvement.

Special Events:

  • Coordinate and manage special events, such as galas, auctions, alumni and donor appreciation gatherings, to engage the community and raise funds.
  • Work closely with volunteers and committees to ensure successful event execution.

Development and Fundraising:

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic foundations to secure financial support for the school.
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, special events (Soiree), and donor recognition programs to meet annual fundraising goals.

Alumni Relations and Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive alumni database, fostering connections and engagement with former students and graduates.
  • Plan alumni events, reunions, and networking opportunities to strengthen ties with the school community and encourage alumni support.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, gifts, and contributions using donor management software.
  • Analyze fundraising trends, donor demographics, and campaign outcomes to inform future strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare annual report for school leadership and stakeholders on fundraising progress and outcomes.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with the school leadership team, faculty, and staff to integrate fundraising initiatives with the overall strategic plan of the school.
  • Collaborate with PTCO and volunteers to enhance community involvement.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Requires coordination and manual dexterity; normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment; availability in evenings and weekends, as needed to fulfill responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications:


  • A working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church; must also be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written; excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires excellent customer service and communication skills and great attention to detail. A pleasant, professional telephone manner is essential.
