Overview:
This is an exempt position reporting to the Vice President of the Enterprise Technologies Practice.

The person in this position will work closely with IQT's government partners to understand their technology problems and use their mastery of technology to investigate and recommend potential solutions from the venture-backed start-up landscape.

This position will guide the technical aspects of an investment to ensure that IQT delivers effective and compelling solutions to our government partners in the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.

The Enterprise Technologies Practice is responsible for identifying and executing investments in technology areas including:


  • AI & Machine Learning
  • Enterprise Data Management
  • Alternative Data Sources
  • Data Analytics
  • High-Performance Computing
  • Compute Infrastructure
  • FinTech
  • Web 3.0,
  • Social Media Analytics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Quantum Software
We are currently focused on hiring talent for our enterprise data management and data analytics work.

This effort supports government partners with variety of technology goals, including:


  • Chief Data Officers and Agency Data Offices to promote standards and platforms managing enterprise data assets.
  • Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers to streamline core workflows like data pipelines, feature engineering, AI/ML workflows.
  • Developers to accelerate with advanced DataOps tooling and highquality components.
  • End Users with and without technical skillsets, to help support accelerating time to insight from enterprise data assets.

Responsibilities:


  • Performs technical diligence on investments in assigned technical areas.
  • Develops and negotiates Statements of Work contracts between IQT and startup companies.
  • Provides technical oversight of work program investments; performs assessments of work program deliverables. Identifies and communicates paths for resolution of issues on work programs to key stakeholders and IQT Leadership.
  • Leverages technical/market experience and understanding of government partner use cases to develop Global Competitive Analyses and other situational awareness products as assigned.
  • Develops technology architectures to address problems faced by IQT's government partners.
  • Envisions and facilitates the evaluation and adoption of work program technology by IQT's government partners.

Qualifications:
Minimal Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
  • At least 5 10 years professional experience with some portion of that time involving technology development in a business and/or intelligence environment.
  • Ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic tech forecasting (How will tech evolve over the next 5 years? Where should we invest today?)
  • Deal creation and visioning (what capabilities are needed to bridge technical gaps?)
  • Storytelling (How does this investment advance our overall strategy?)
  • Advanced studies in a relevant discipline, demonstrated by a graduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Problem solving skills to evaluate complex situations, identify root issues, write concise summaries, and propose considered solutions.
  • Experience evaluating third party technologies/vendors.
  • Startup experience and an ability to thrive in a nontraditional, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience in both technical and proposal/contract writing.
  • Composed and dynamic public speaking
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders from government partners to startups.
