Job Purpose:


The position will act in accordance with the Group's Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Develop/Maintain Plant Rotating Reliability Program
  • Frequent review of all Work Orders coded as Engineering assistance required and managing those WO, including providing feedback.
  • Perform/Lead all Root Cause Analysis for Rotating Group (Occurrence of Adverse Events)
  • Perform/Lead all Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for Rotating Group (Prevention and Proactive Risk Management)
  • Maintain database for all critical equipment spare identification including obtaining equipment numbers and spare inventory stock requests as needed
  • In conjunction with Purchasing, will maintain/prepare all major equipment RFQs, ie. Pump/Compressor/Gearbox/Etc overhauls
  • Review/Maintain Engineering Specifications/Drawings for Rotating Equipment
  • Outlook for future years on equipment replacement and manage Capex Planning (Responsible for Asset Replacement Lookhead)
  • Perform and Lead PM studies for all rotating equipment, this should include items such as: monthly vibration analysis, oil sampling and QA; assist in quarterly critical equipment performance testing
  • Provide feedback to Management on suggested engineering improvements based on Bad Actor Analysis, recommendations should be frequent and managed by Engineer.
  • Develop and distribute KPIs for Rotating Team
  • Participate/Lead Reliability Improvement Projects
  • Develop maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and minimize repair costs.
  • Support efforts to ensure that plant wide rotating equipment standards are reviewed and updated.
  • Lead team efforts to solve complex rotating equipment problems and improve reliability.
  • Develop standards and specifications for new rotating equipment.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Background and Experience:


  • Significant training or education within Rotating Equipment Standards
  • Minimum of ten years rotating equipment experience.
  • Significant training or education within Rotating Equipment Standards

Desires Qualifications:


  • Expertise in the development of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Advanced experience working with various types of rotating equipment.

Compenties and Skills:


  • Ability to effectively communicate through written correspondence
  • Strong computer skills
  • Advanced knowledge in rotating equipment technology
  • Results orientated, selfstarter with the ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on teams
