    Job Opportunity: Charge Nurse - Emergency Room at Dallas Regional Medical Center

    Responsibilities:

    The Emergency Department (ED) Charge Nurse plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing staff and patient care delivery. Some key qualities we look for in our ER team Charge Nurses:


    • Direct communication with leadership regarding patient care events
    • Effective utilization of nursing personnel for scheduling and staffing
    • Supervision, evaluation, and education of staff
    • Collaboration with other departments for seamless patient services
    • Ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines
    • Conducting patient/family interviews and orientations
    • Performing direct patient care as needed within scope of practice

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred
    • Texas State Registered Nursing (RN) license
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates
    • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications
    • Supervisory experience and minimum one year in acute care hospital ED



    Facility Specific Requirements:

    • MICN, EDAP certification, NRP certificate, or Fetal Monitoring certificate as per facility standards
    • Completion of Pediatric Training Classes per year
