    Description

    Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), based in Chelmsford, MA, is in search of a dedicated Quality Engineer to bolster our manufacturing operations. LMMFC is a renowned designer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, offering vital capabilities crucial for our military and civilian customers during critical moments. Quality Engineers at LMMFC play a pivotal role within the design and production teams by creating and assessing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured products. Their goal is to ensure that customers receive top-quality products. Job Description duties include:
    • Reviewing documentation to ensure delivery of quality products to customers.
    • Analyzing and resolving process issues.
    • Leading corrective action meetings, identifying trends, and ensuring timely resolutions.
    • Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards.
    • Conducting assessments and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
    • Engaging with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality matters.
    • Utilizing lean initiatives for continuous improvement.
    • Making final decisions on product acceptability.
    Relocation: Relocation assistance is available for this role. The Locale: Chelmsford, located near Boston, offers a mix of colonial charm and modern amenities. The town's proximity to historical sites, ski resorts, and coastal towns provides a unique living experience. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or higher. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in relevant computer applications. Security clearance is required. Desired Skills: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing. ASQ CQE certification. Experience in electronics and root cause analysis. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma. Familiarity with J-STD-001/IPC-A-610. Security Clearance Statement: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens due to government security clearance requirements.
