Sunday through Wednesday 7:00am - 3:30pm and Wednesday through Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm


Rate:
$21.00 -$23.00 depending on experience.

Position Overview:
OPI is seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Mentor to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will provide critical support and mentorship to our residents, helping them navigate daily challenges and achieve their developmental, emotional, and professional goals.

  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with residents, providing guidance and mentorship to foster their personal and social development.
  • Assist residents in setting and achieving realistic and meaningful goals in areas such as emotional regulation, independence, and vocational skills.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead group activities that promote community engagement, skill development, and wellness.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, psychologists, and vocational coaches to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment and support.
  • Monitor and support resident participation in daily programs and activities, intervening as necessary to promote safety and progress.
  • Document and report on residents' progress, challenges, and milestones, maintaining detailed records in accordance with OPI standards and privacy laws.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and ensure all interventions are documented and communicated to the clinical team.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay abreast of best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a residential setting, mental health facility, or related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with young adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
