The
Program Manager
oversees the operations and service delivery of DASH's program, targeted towards transitioning youth (aged 18-24 years).
This includes supervising a team of two, providing coaching as well as hands-on support for complex cases, ensuring budget compliance, program adherence to grant agreements and organizational policies and procedures, and proper program data capture and reporting.
Our Ideal Candidate:
4 years of experience in nonprofit program management
Experience in domestic and sexual violence survivors
Knowledge of housing navigation
Experience building & managing partnerships
Trauma-informed, Compassionate, and Mission-driven
Understanding of cultural diversity, family violence, and hard-to-reach or resistant individuals and families
Initiative-taker and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or related field
COVID-19 vaccination required
How
You Will Spend Your Day:
Direct Service (25%)
Coordinates with the Intake team and program leadership to assist with participant intake into program.
Conducts participant intakes and onboarding.
Supervises 2 Community Coach & Systems Navigators (CCSNs) in the support they provide to participants in creating safety plans and goal plans.
On a monthly basis, supervises CCSNs in their home visits, phone check-ins, and well-being assessments of program participants. Responds to any crisis or emergency issues for participants.Regularly reviews participant activities to ensure alignment with program goals. Supports CCSNs to implement feedback loops to allow for participant input and adjustments.
Provides support and resources to CCSNs to enable them to guide participants in navigating social services and systems.
Provides comprehensive support and guidance to CCNSs and participants for more complex cases, offering expertise, resources, and collaborative problem-solving strategies to ensure effective and trauma-informed care for participants facing unique challenges.
Leads care conferences with participants and CCSNs, as appropriate.Maintains accurate and timely documentation for individual participants.
Advocates to senior leadership for needs that existing resources or partners cannot meet.
Resource and Partnership Management (25%)
Cultivates strong relationships with landlords and property management companies to secure affordable rent options for participants, involving proactive outreach, education about DASH and the program, negotiation, and ongoing communication.
Facilitates the leasing process by advocating for program participants, promoting landlord-tenant relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth transitions into housing units.
Provides ongoing support to landlords, addressing any issues that may arise, and collaborating to maintain stable housing for participants. Acts as a mediator between landlords and participants when necessary, resolving conflicts and promoting positive landlord-tenant relationships.Monitors rental market and opportunities, working closely with community partners to expand affordable housing opportunities and resources for program participants.
Maintains relationships and collaborates with Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) program partners, volunteer groups, and culturally specific outreach centers to organize survivor-centered activities for participants.
Identifies, develops, and maintains relationships with key partners in job training programs, education, and similar fields.Supports CCSNs to identify potential resources, programs, and partnerships to help participants achieve their goals.
Attends meetings with funders, community partners, and represents DASH throughout the community and at key partner events.
Program Management (25%)
Supports the development and maintenance of workplans to ensure program delivery and data reporting for the program and all supporting partnerships.
Works with program management to manage the program budget and oversee program expenses within their approved budget and grant awards.
Triages and serve as a leader in solving day-to-day programmatic escalations, including participant grievances and program non-compliance.Identifies and addresses gaps in knowledge, skills, resources, and partnerships to strengthen program delivery, including wellbeing supports.
Collaborates with program staff to analyze and present data to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information to internal and external stakeholders.
Understands grant requirements and ensures program and service delivery balances grant requirements and DASH's trauma-based, survivor-informed values.Ensure program and service compliance with federal, state, and local confidentiality and victim services laws and regulations.
Works in partnership with program management and staff to support detailed recordkeeping and ensure the accuracy of files, fostering an organized and transparent system that facilitates efficient retrieval and utilization of essential information.
Helps to ensure audit readiness of program budget and portfolio.Leadership and Team Management (25%)
Attracts, develops, coaches, and retains high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.
Delegate work streams effectively, fostering professional growth and motivating and holding team members to a high standard of excellence and accountability.
Implements ongoing coaching for CCSNs, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill-building, and empowerment to enhance their effectiveness in delivering high-quality services.
Supports staff to develop problem-solving skills and leads team brainstorming to respond to nuanced and individualized cases.Ensures CCSNs understand how to implement their work according to the model of voluntary service and trauma-informed care for clients, the DASH model, and grant requirements.
Ensures CCSNs consistently apply the DASH model and organizational policies and procedures for effective service delivery throughout programs.Identifies departmental training needs and consults with Program leadership and People & Culture to find or develop appropriate training resources.
Assists in fostering a collaborative and innovative program culture that encourages continuous improvement and learning.Models DASH's standard of understanding, sensitivity, and responsiveness to cultural differences in the organization's service and employee population.
